Cloning
Oekaki.pl proudly presents our latest feature: cloning!
The principles are simple. Every picture (regardless of its status and version) can be cloned if you are its author or co-author, and its owner ticks the appropriate box in the picture's editing panel ("Allow other users to clone this picture as their own").
The clone is identical to the original. Next there are two options to set up the clone: the first works like a collab, in that the person who cloned the picture becomes the new owner, and the original owner is listed as the co-author; the second is when a completely new picture is created, and figures as a normal picture in the new author's gallery.
To summarise, two examples.
Example one: The Great Collaboration
1. Bobby draws a lineart, adds Tommy as a co-author and ticks the "Allow other users..." box.
2. Tommy clones this lineart and finishes the picture as he wishes.
3. Tommy's picture shows up in Bobby's gallery, as he had been added as a co-author. Bobby now has two pictures in his gallery: his original lineart, and Tommy's finished version.
Example two: The Dolly the Sheep Effect
1. Lenny wants to finish off a picture in two ways.
2. He clones the picture and finishes the second one differently. He now has two seperate pictures, as opposed to having one with two different versions.
We hope you have fun testing this new feature! :)

O, dobree!
